Como nunca antes, el titular de Microsoft se explayó sobre todos los temas vitales que rodean a la fuerte competencia entre la página impresa y la pantalla: la actualidad de la nueva televisión, que apunta a un público cada vez más segmentado; las distintas formas de lectura, que a su juicio favorecen notablemente a la online, y la declinación de las ventas de los diarios y la propia publicidad impresa.

Five Minds for the Future- Howard Gardner

Five Minds for the Future was recently released by Harvard Business School Press. The synthesizing mind, one of the five minds, was identified as a "breakthrough idea" by Harvard Business Review in 2006. Read a review of this book in the Financial Times.

Google sigue tirando de cartera y va cerrando el circulo

Via www.tecnorantes.com:Con la compra de Double Click por u$s3100 millones (menudo negocio han hecho los de Hellman&Friedman triplicando lo invertido en 2005…) Google se adelante a sus “compañeros” de carrera MSFT, Yahoo y compañía y se hace con una empresa que le aporta la tecnología de adserving mas usada a nivel mundial y que se complementa perfectamente con lo que ya ofrecen.

Tiempo habrá de valorar si lo que han pagado es mucho o poco.A priori me parece mucho dinero, pero supongo que la cifra puede considerarse mas o menos lógica si estaban pujando con varias empresas mas o si lo comparamos con las ultimas compras.
Al final todo vale lo que alguien está dispuesto a pagar por ello….

Ya solo le quedan 8000 millones en cash.Habrá que espabilar antes de que se les acabe el dinero…

2007 CES - Bill Gates Keynote Address

Bill had a keynote speach at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. You should check out the video because there is some really neat stuff he’s talking about. Bill shows how the modern office will look like (big screen with three desktops), touchscreens, the connection with your mobile, real-time news, etc. Windows Vista was shown with all new features like task switching, the Aero Glass interface, the sidebar with gadgets, IE7 (thumbnailed tabs and parental controls).
