El viernes pasado se lanzó el tan esperado iPhone, un dispositivo que combina un teléfono celular, un navegador de Internet y un reproductor de música digital. Sólo en el primer fin de semana las ventas superaron las 500.000 unidades. Por su avanzada tecnología el producto propone el siguiente interrogante: ¿Cuál es su verdadero mercado competitivo? ¿Los teléfonos celulares? ¿Las computadoras portátiles? ¿Microsoft? ¿Todos el mundo de las comunicaciones? A menos de una semana de su lanzamiento ya hace ruido en distintos sectores del mercado al generar importantes cambios.

A Google le preocupa su descontrolado crecimient

En un almuerzo en el cuartel general de la empresa en Mountain View (California), en el que estuvo presente EFE, Schmidt dijo que Google se enfrenta al riesgo de "perder su espíritu" a causa de su gran tamaño.

"El problema es que estamos creciendo muy rápidamente. La fórmula está funcionado, pero la cuestión es ¿cómo podemos mantenerla?" dijo Schmidt en el encuentro, al que también asistió el cofundador de la compañía, Larry Page.

Page y Sergey Brin fundaron la estrella líder de internet hace menos de diez años en un garaje de Silicon Valley cuando todavía eran estudiantes de la Universidad de Stanford.

Un solo pais concentra la mitad de los internatutas

Una compañía logró demostrar lo que muchos suponían acerca de la distribución geográfica de los usuarios de internet en el mundo: un solo país concentra la mitad de los internautas del mundo

La empresa IPlingence demostró que los Estados Unidos concentran el 55,9% de los números IP.

El estudio World Map 07 muestra en detalle cómo se concentran los usuarios de la web alrededor del mundo, siendo Europa en su conjunto la región que le sigue a los EEUU con un 21,5% de internautas.

En tercer lugar quedó Asia con el 14% de los usuarios, seguida por América del Sur, que representa 3,5% de números IP activos. Oceanía ocupa el cuarto lugar con un 2,8 por ciento.

Este estudio demuestra que no hay una relación entre la concentración de población y número de conexiones, como era de esperar, pero sí de nivel de vida y acceso a Internet.

Thank you for visiting our blog. I am writing this short post in order to provide a place for those interested in the video, “Web 2.0 … The Machine is Us/ing Us” to place substantial comments. As you know, YouTube only allows 500 characters, not enough to really start rethinking any of the things I mentioned in the video. So post your comments here. I will be back to write a substantial post addressing some common questions about the video soon.

Que pasa con algunos grandes nombres de la Teoria General de los Sistemas

Buscando información de John P. van Gigch, quien escribió una gran cantidad de títulos de la Teoría General de los Sistemas (TGS), encuentro no existe en Wikipedia!. Si no existe en Wikipedia, no existe?. Estoy colectando información para ver si finalmente lo subo. En Wikipedia hacen referencias a el cuando se habla de Metadecisions y Metamodeling, pero no esta!. Loco no?.

Incluso escribió un estudio sobre la evolución de la tecnología en un país en desarrollo: Argentina. Será por eso que no está ?

Pero investigando que paso con Gigch, apareció, obviamente, muchísima información también Charles François . Que a parte de haber creado una gran cantidad de material del tema en cuestión (incluso una enciclopedia muy pero muy reconocida), fundo asociaciones en Bélgica, Argentina y otros países de Latinoamérica. Están por todos lados en Internet, pero no están en Wikipedia.

Que pasa con la Teoría General de los Sistemas, no es atractiva?, es por eso que nos la pasamos resolviendo cuestiones puntuales y terminamos rompiendo el resto de los elementos del sistema ?, es que es poco sexy?, indudablemente sí.

Los conceptos sistémicos tienen un problema parecen triviales, pero que difícil es ver que realmente se desplieguen enfoques resolución de problemas teniendo en cuenta la totalidad sistémica. Fácil de decir, difícil de hacer.

Ver por favor los comentarios a esta nota si se quiere obtener mas información de la TGS, primero de van Gigch, pero luego (no por orden de importancia, sino por orden de aparición del problema) a Charles François.

Esta no es una critica a Wikipedia, es una critica al desinterés evidente en estos temas. Espero poder recuperar información suficiente para corregir la omisión cuanto antes.

Creative Commons: Es facil cuando te saltas a los intermediarios

www.blog.culturadigital.org: Si muchos os preguntais qué es eso de “CC, Creative Commons, licencia compartir igual…, copyleft”… y todos esos rollos, NO, no es otra moda más, es una nueva forma de licencia sobre los derechos de autor sobre todo altruista y como toda la Cultura Digital de la web: para todos y de todos… pero aún así soy consciente que es muy posible que esta breve aclaración no sirva de mucho y queden “todas” las dudas.
